It is also one of the things I love cooking the most. This khichdi recipe is my own creation. I have used ingredients that are heavier in their protein & mineral content than the traditional khichdi ingredients, hence the name. It has a pearly look because the rice does not disintegrate even when cooked well. This also gives a unique mouth-feel to the khichdi. The accompaniment is a traditional Konkani preparation, though to my knowledge, never been used as an accompaniment to khichdi. Mixed seasonal fruits in a spicy gravy that packs a Mike Tyson punch behind it's benign looks. This is a combination that has made-for-each-other written all over it. Enjoy & spread the love. 🙂
